Happy New Year!!!

It's two hours before New Year. I am taking the chance to greet everyone a very happy new year.

Happy New Year!!!! Welcome 2008.

I am optimistic of what the new year will bring. I am excited for the new chance, the new hope, new opportunities.

I pray to God that it will be a peaceful year for our country. That our family be healthy all the year through, more love and kindness.

Few hours before new year

It's three hours before midnight. A few hours before we welcome the new year. 2008. And, I am here, enjoying the one hour quiet time blogging.

We just got back from the second pamamanhikan for Chris and Aimee. We had the pamamanhikan already last summer but since Aimee's dad who was in the US that time arrived last Christmas, we went to their house again for get-together, this time with him. As usual, kainan na naman, bestseller are the crabs, too bad, i'm too full that I only ate one piece. Another hit to both kids and adults is the Nintendo Wi (sp?). It's so galing! the boys (both young and adult) played bowling, boxing and tennis. Galing kasi you're really going to move. Hindi katulad ng mga usual games na nakaupo ka lang at kamay lang ang gumagana. Dito as in you'll really do the act of playing like in bowling, as in you'll act like you're really playing bowling. Sure hit kay kurt ang boxing, he's so galing as in he knocks off you kalaban.

So, why the quiet moment now? well, everybody, except me, hubby and kurt, are in the church. Why are we not in the church? kasi the little boy, who's so cranky kanina is sleepping kaya we've decided na bukas na lang kami mag-mass.

As we're a few hours before 2008. I'm listing here some of my targets for the new year, which I really hope to accomplish. And, I'm broadcasting here as sabi nila, you should make public your intentions para mas may pressure na tuparin.

So, here is my list:
1. On top of my list, to seriously lose weight. AS IN! I really have to. I target to go back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I have a plan, and I just hope that I can stick to it.
2. To do at least 2 scrapbook layouts per month.
3. Be more organized. I am burara pag kulang ng lalagyan, so my solution is to constantly buy plastic boxes para hindi nakakalat gamit. My first project - the back of our headboard. Second target, my steel cabinet in the office, I'm hoping to empty the four drawers when we move in to our new floor. Third target, my overhead cabinets.
4. To read more helpful/educational books. Hoping that this year be a year of new learning din.

So that's it. I think it's a fairly good list.

Barney Live!

I have been so excited until the day that we're going to watch comes. Kurt likes Barney so much, as in for a time, si Barney lang pinapanood nya. Though a few days before we watched Barney, he suddenly showed interest na on Dora. Anyway, to go back to Barney, we've been preparing kurt na rin for this pero i think hindi nya alam na he's going to watch Barney live. As posted here, we got the sunday, 3pm show.

Lunch time that day, the little boy had a preview na of Barney. He saw Barney in ASAP, as in he's asking me "Paano?". His dialog was: "Mama, paano?" tipong hindi makapaniwala that Barney is here in the Philippines. So I had a preview na of kurt's reaction when he sees the actual Barney.

The way to Cubao was so bad, as in grabe traffic, kasi we took the mistake of passing by Cubao's bus station, so super traffic. We parked in Gateway, then off we went to Barney.

I've been telling hubby that I am worried that I am gonna cry. I'll cry kasi I know kurt will be very happy to see Barney.

The show started, the little boy's reaction? tulala. As in! nakatitig lang sya, not even participating. As in silently nanonood. Syempre, naluha ako. Medyo, kainis nga later on kasi parang wala lang sa kanya, I guess he still can't believe that he's seeing the actual Barney. When the first part was about to end, they allowed the kids to go near the stage so kurt and his dada went there.

Had a break, then on the second part na, ayun, he asked me to go back there near the stage and he's dancing na but not as much as when he's watching Barney on TV.

In a way, I didn't quite expected that he'll not participate that much, he loves Barney songs and dances and sings with it at home pero that time, not much, siguro nga, kasi nagulat sya na it's a real Barney. Stage design is not that good, simple lang. What we really paid for here is for Kurt to really experience seeing Barney live again. I know na from the start that the show is not that long, kasi syempre, the audience are kids.

More Baguio pics

That saturday night, kurt is really having fun with picture taking.

The next day, he's still in picture mode. As in! He wants to have a picture taken, these were taken before lunch. At gusto nya pa, he's complete with the bonnet and neck wrap.

Anniversary celebration: the weekend

Still part of our anniversary celebration, we went to Baguio, as planned before we had the "no speaking terms". We left really early saturday morning, dec. 8, stopped over the Caltex station in EDSA to buy coffee and pandesal from Pugon, it's still so dark, kurt is still awake but not complaining kasi layas din etong batang eto eh. LOL!

Second stopover was in Luisita in Tarlac, the sun is coming out already but since hubby is stil sleepy, we went to Starbucks and bought cappucino, Kurt had a blast looking at the old train at the back of Starbucks. We stayed there for a while so hubby can rest then continued on with our journey.

We arrived in Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan at I think past 9-10am. We dropped by hubby's lola's house since mommy, daddy, kuya arnold, ate sweet and jonathan are there. We had breakfast, rested a few minutes, looked for lodging in the internet then off we went to Baguio.

We are in Baguio by lunchtime, we went to Microtel Inn & Suites to check in, place is new and located near Victory Liner station. Too bad, the single queen bed room is fully booked as one company have a function there. We no longer had any hotels in mind so we just decided to check in at Prince Plaza along Legarda road. Both hubby and I stayed there in the past on separate instances, for the same client assignment. It was old but at least, we're familiar with the place. Good news here is the room rate is way lot cheaper than Microtel plus hubby got 20% corporate discount. Fixed our things, rested for a while, gave kurt a bath and changed clothes then off to lunch.

We had lunch in Matutina's kitchen beside the hotel. Food is really great. Sarap nung sinigang na fish (forgot the name of the fish) and inihaw na liempo. Well worth it! Rested for a few more minutes in our room then off we went to Philippine Military Academy (PMA). Kurt had a lot of fun here. Here are some of the pics:

Anniversary celebration: the day

Since we already patched things up that midnight, ok na kami. We decided that we'll have lunch in Circles, Makati Shangri-La to celebrate. We haven't eaten in Circles for so long that we were suprised to see the major changes. There are more sushi, more seafood, there's even a lobster and better food choices. We saw the chef making his rounds and checking everything with some of the waiters, we guessed that he's probably new and he's responsible for all these really good changes in Circles. Of course, enjoy kami ni hubby as in major!

We started off with the sushi then seafood, then i tried some of the various salads and appetizer. Headed off to carving station and finally my favorite, the dessert bar, having a feast with all the different chocolate desserts. I managed to take a few pics using my camera phone, however, i cannot post them yet as my little boy is busy playing billiards in my phone = )

Now, here are some pics of my plate.

My sushi and seafood plate:

A close up photo of the sushi:

My greens plus caesar dressing:

A sampling of the different salads and appetizer:

I forgot to take a picture of the roast beef. So, here's my dessert plate. Hindi obvious that I love chocolate noh? LOL

There are actually a LOT more food kaso I prioritize, I only eat the sushi, seafood, salads, appetizer, carvings and of course the dessert. I always skip on the chinese, indian, pasta and other main dishes. I don't see anything special kasi on these food. In the carving station, I usually only get the roast beef but when I am in the mood, I also request for a slice of the lamb.
A picture of the huge Christmas tree in the Makati Shangrila lobby:

So funny how my anniversary celebration post turned to focus on the food that we ate. LOL!

Anniversary celebration: the day before

I posted here my dilemma regarding our anniversary. Good thing, everything worked out well. The night before our anniversary, I've been waiting for hubby to arrive from work, with me really have no idea what to do incase he gets here. It's late already but still no hubby so I decided to go to bed, trying to make kurt go to sleep. After a few minutes, already past 11pm, he arrived, me asar kasi late na sya dumating decided not to go out of our bedroom to welcome him. But tagal pumasok kaya i went out pasimple, surprised not to see him there, he's probably upstairs. I went back to bed, when he entered, di ko talaga pinapansin, my face on the wall. Kaso si kurt has a way of spoiling (or fixing?) things out, he asked me that he wanted to make weewee so I have no choice but to stand up, hubby already lying on bed then. I glimpsed, a dozen roses on top of our personal ref pero kunwari di ko nakita. I was smiling in the bathroom then syempre pagbalik sa room i cannot deny it na so bati na kami. Babaw ko ba?

More on December happenings

Since I am so delayed in my posting, I will have this summary page again to remind me of what to write. I am just waiting for my phone's battery to completely charge then I'll post na my entries complete with pictures.

1. Christmas parties we attended
2. My Starbucks planner
3. Barney show
4. Christmas eve in Batangas
5. Christmas day in Manila

Lunch with Calipanga Friends

Last thursday, Dec. 20, we had lunch with our calipanga friends. As usual, we had it in Aveneto in Glorieta 3. Attendees were Chel and Denden, Lau & Jo, Ais, Quel plus me and hubby. Good thing, Chel and Den, and Jo and Lau were early there kasi super dami tao when we get there. Lau was trying to make reservation kaso that's not allowed daw. We ordered our usual food, seafood nut pesto pasta, appetizer platter plus one more red sauce pasta and special pizza. It was our first time to see Ais after giving birth and sobrang galing kasi she's back agad to her old figure, parang di nanganak! kainis! as usual, asar talo kaming mga may kasamang hubbies because of our figures. LOL! Had fun kwentuhan that we did not notice that it's past 1pm already. We exchanged gifts. Got also the gift from Benz, John and Kite! Thanks mimma and didda! really nice gifts kasi personalized. We hope to meet again, this time for a longer kwentuhan and hopefully with Nyree and Jasper, Raquel & Carlo, Aileen and Kristian, plus Songs, Joey na with us. And ohh, we're planning din to go to Avalon Ark this January.

Thanks guys for the gifts! Kurt opened it up already yesterday.

Christmas rush

Wishful thinking. I thought after my weeklong training last week, I'll be able to blog and bloghop. I forgot that we need to do our christmas shopping, wrap the gifts, christmas parties, etc.

We had our second batch of christmas gifts shopping last weekend. First attempt on saturday in greenhills. Unfortunately, I was only able to buy one polo shirt. Why? kasi na-guilty akong iwan si kurt sa bahay on a weekend so sinama ko sila ng yaya. Kaso mo, he won't let me touch nor look at anything. As in he'll say No touch mama or No look mama. Kaya ayun. That sunday, we went to Divisoria with the hope of finishing everything. GRABE!! super dami tao. We expected that there'll be a lot of people but never expected that it will be that plenty. We were so tired and harassed na sa sobrang pagod eh we bought most of our gifts in one store.

The nights that followed was spent on wrapping gifts. Abuso sa dami! Since sunday night up to monday night, we wrapped 87 gifts!!! grabe noh! para kaming nagta-trabaho sa department store sa dami ng gifts na binalot. And, majority of that eh gifts pa lang ni hubby sa officemates nya, plus some gifts to my officemates. I still have to complete my gift wrapping for my officemates. Then wrap pa gifts to family and friends. Uber talaga! Good thing I enjoy wrapping gifts but I really never expected that hubby will give that plenty of gifts to officemates. Tapos, we only start with the wrapping really late na kasi busy din with parties and all.

Last night, hindi na kinaya ng katawan ko to wrap gifts kasi went home really late na from a dinner with the Bautista girls. We had dinner na lang instead of bridal shower for Aimee. We ate in Misato in Metrowalk.

Oh, and I went shopping din pala last night in Tiendesitas for some more gifts. Still a lot to buy based on my list and I intend to do it this lunch break.

Need to buy toys and gifts for my friends, the calipanga kids and couples as we'll have lunch tomorrow = )

Dilemma

It's our anniversary tomorrow..BUT..we're not on speaking terms. Hay... long story. What now? I don't know what will happen tomorrow. I can't just give way right? sometimes, I have to stand on what I believe, right? or, should I give way for the sake of reconciliation? I don't know.

More caffeine please

Dec. 1 2007, that was the date that I joined the rest of yuppies going crazy over Starbucks 2008 planner. I am a coffee drinker, but since there is a Figaro in our office I seldom go to Starbucks to buy my coffee for the day. I was also not interested with the planner as I had this the first year that they had this promo, and i never used that planner. But curiousity got the better side of me. When I saw how nice the planner is, I know I have to. I have to have it. So, starting that day, I am one of the hundreds of people falling in line in Starbucks, most especially last Tuesday, Dec. 4 until tomorrow because of the promo. On those few days, I already got 13 stickers! 11 more to go and I will finally have the coveted planner. It's soooo nice. More pics and info about it from Dessert comes first.

Five in a Row

I was tagged by my friend Nyree. Thanks sis!

- steak!
- lobster/crabs
- cupcakes by Sonjas!!! I super love their melt in your mouth chocolate cupcake and banana monkey pie and everything else

For Conti's, it's because parating ang dami-daming tao if I go there during lunchtime and dinner time! the only times that we were able to eat there are the times na alanganing oras kami kumakain.

5. Name five things that make you feel good. Things di ba?

2007: One Great Year

(Ok... I have to re-create this entry. For some weird reason, I got an error when I published my original post. Grrr... this is a long post pa naman, I hope I still remember everything. Anyway...)

I got inspired by the January 2008 issue of Creating Keepsakes that I thought of doing this list:

January - Welcomed the year with a BIG bang, lots of fireworks/crackers courtesy of hubby's balikbayan relatives

February - A major purchase. Bought my own car! A Honda City! and got it a day before my 30th birthday.

March - Hubby went to Malaysia while I went to Singapore, we met up in Singapore airport when I arrived and he checked in for departure to Manila. We went back to the city together, checked in my hotel, went out to lunch with friends before he went back to the airport for his flight back to Manila; I conducted/co-facilitated a training for Singaporean clients

April - ??

May - We went to Boracay with the rest of the Bautista family for a much needed vacation

June - Father's Day celebration in Tagaytay with the rest of the Bautistas

July - Kurt started with his tutorials; I got hospitalized; Hubby moved to a new company while I got promoted as Senior Director!

August - I attended a training in Hongkong.

September - Hubby's birthday! Huling chance na sa kalendaryo! Sa lotto na ang sunod na bilangan ng edad. LOL; Kurt's first fieldtrip - Manila Zoo!

October - Kurt turned three! and he learned to say "Barney" straight; Kurt's first try in "trick or treat";

November - A very good payraise (wink!); Beyonce Experience Live;

December - (hoping for a lot of great happenings)

This is a work in progress. Need to check this blog for more happenings during the year that I forgot to include.

(Now, I'm playing safe, I copied everything in MSword to make sure I have a backup in case it happens again)

Lunch in John and Yoko

Hubby and I had an impromptu lunch date today. It happened kasi my co-managers are not here in the office and I want to eat out. I am actually craving for a grilled chicken caesar salad and can't think where to buy it so I asked hubby if he's available. Since he can't think of a restaurant that has the salad that I want he suggested the fusion japanese resto in Greenbelt 5. He ate there twice already and he's been raving about this resto so off we go.

Its my first time to go to Greenbelt 5, I just don't find it appealing yet since a lot of stores are not yet opened so even if I pass by it a number of times a day, I haven't been there before. John and Yoko is located in second floor, the place is impressive, a lot of choices in the menu. We ordered the spider roll (soft shell crabs roll) and japaella (a japanese paella). The food is good. Hubby is actually showing me other choices from the menu which he tried already, maybe next time. Total cost = P600.

Stop it now!

Let's get back to business please.

******************************************

Quarter to twelve, we're leaving for a meeting in Bonifacio High Street when my officemate, Jenz, told me that Trillanes and group are in Manila Pen. What the hell!!! Good thing, I decided to pack up my things, bring my laptop in case I cannot go back to the office. Makati avenue is closed already when we left. A lot of police and media people parked along the area and the uzis as expected are there.

I can't believe this guy, sabihin na nating valid ang issues nya, sabihin na nating may point sya, pero naman, tigilan na nya ang mga ganyang style! If he's serious in saying that he's concerned with the innocent people and all, he shouldn't have started it at all.

Magkaisa naman tayo for a change. Magbigay naman sila.

Sasabihin pa nila sa tv, na ang gobyerno natin eh walang pakialam, na pati media at innocent people eh gusto nilang idamay dahil sa pagsugod. If he's concerned about them, he shouldn't have started it in the first place. Ano bang nasa isip nya nung plinano nya yun? na pababayaan lang sya ng government? hello!!!! mag-isip naman po please.

Nakikiusap ako. Tigilan na sana nila eto. Grow up please. Learn to give way. Hindi naman porke't naging successful ang military sa EDSA 1 eh ganun na lang parati, rebolusyon na lang parati, grow up naman. Maawa naman kayo sa kapwa Filipino nyo. Sawang-sawa na kami sa bangayan nyo.

Paano na ang Manila Pen? it's a very reputable hotel and they damaged it. Sobra!!! paano na ang events na dapat eh mangyayari dun? I read from Jody's blog, that there's supposed to be a wedding there tonight, grabe naman sila! hindi na sila naawa.

NAKAKAPIKON!!!!! PARE-PAREHO LANG KAYO SA PULITIKA.

BWISET!!!!

Summary of bonding with hubby last week

Been busy last week that I wasn't able to post our activities.

Wednesday last week, hubby & I ate at Nanbantei of Tokyo in Greenbelt 3. I just love this restaurant. Their specialty is yakitori or japanese grill. We got the bestseller - it contains 21 sticks, 3 pcs. of each variant - corn, asparagus, chicken wings, potatoes with bacon, chicken ( 2 servings) and pork. My favorite is corn and the pork. Their menu is so simple and the yakitori is definitely so simple but I love eating here. We had green tea icecream for dessert. And oh, the reason why we ate here? we celebrated my 10th year with the firm!! Oh yes! that's how long I am with the firm now.

Thursday, we watched Enchanted. The movie is sooo funny! and Dr. Mc Dreamy (Patrick Dempsey) is soooo handsome! I highly recommend this movie, hubby and I are laughing so hard while watching. Didn't know that the witch is Susan Sarandon, learned about it only this morning from the Morning Rush in RX 93.1. I can actually watch it again as I so love the movie.

Thanksgiving 2007

It's thanksgiving day in the US today. I am sad, although I experienced it twice in my life only (last year and 2005) I somehow miss this holiday.

I miss the Macy's thanksgiving parade, i miss the turkey, cranberry sauce, the pumpkin pie, and most of all, I will miss the Black Friday Sale!!!

whhhaaa.... i remember last year, ate and I went to Best Buy at 5am in the morning to buy my videocam. I remember being surprised to see the long line of people and I remember how funny I was because I went out of the car in the middle of the road because it's so traffic going inside the parking area. I remember ate and I hurrying up inside the store to make sure na hindi ako maubusan. We finished our electronics shopping muna before we had a good breakfast then went back shopping again.

this year, i am eyeing for the portable dvd. actually, i wanted to buy this na last year but francis won't let me. and that want wont go away as until now I still want to buy it. if i am in the US now, I will buy this. i went online to check for the black friday sale ads. and i saw a Sony - 8" 16:9 widescreen LCD portable DVD player for $169.99 from original price of $189.99.

Not really big savings but it still made me want to buy a portable dvd. hay...

A possible anniversary celebration: Cancelled!

Oh well.. i spoke to soon. I posted about a possible anniversary celebration here. And now, we're more than sure that it'll not push through and what's worse is same as prior years, mukhang magkahiwalay na naman kami on our anniv.

Why did we cancel? well, we cannot get confirmed tickets. Francis return tickets are still on waiting list while I cannot get any tickets going to and back from Singapore kahit na mag-business class ako. We're moving the trip some other time. Probably, next year na, on the next long weekend - Feb. 25.

Siguro the best anniv celebration we had was last year when francis visited me in the US. hmm... not an anniv celeb but a chance for just the two of us to be together and really had a good time ng kaming dalawa lang. That's the last trip that we did na kami lang. This year, we always have kurt with us, unless you'll count yung time na nag-abot kami ni Francis sa Singapore last March. He went to Malaysia for a business trip via Singapore and on his last day there, first day ko naman. So, nagkita kami sa airport, hinatid nya ko sa hotel ko then had lunch with his friends, pasyal ng konti then diretso na sya sa airport pabalik Manila.

Why we won't be together this year on our anniv? well, looks like I'll have another business trip somewhere. I'm still processing my papers for visa application and pag natuloy it'll be for two weeks starting Dec. 2 so talagang eksakto sa ming anniv. Hay.. i just wish he can go with me to this trip na lang.

Barney Live in Manila

Yipee! we finally have tickets for Barney's show. We bought it from SM ticketnet tonight and we got PT106, row A, seats 1-3 for the 3pm show on Dec. 23. Eversince I read in one of the blogs I visit that Barney is coming, I immediately informed hubby about it and asked for his free schedule. I really want kurt to watch this. I am so excited for the little boy. He loves Barney so much. He actually learned about Barney when he was able to watch Barney's show here in Manila last December 2005. He's only 1yr old then. He was only able to go because my brother have 2 extra tickets. And since it was a weekday then, it's only Kurt and yaya who watched together with my brother's family. So now, I am so excited and I can't wait! for sure he will love it. Barney is his only favorite. He watches other cartoons but he always goes back to his Barney cds. He has a lot na sobra. Soooo excited! i can't wait for Dec. 23!

Dede and baby

Past 9pm today, tuesday, November 13, 2007, kurt, exactly 37 months old, hubby is watching Pinoy Big Brother Celebration Edition 2 on the tv in the sala.

Kurt and I are having our bedtime routine. We're lying on the bed, kurt's head on my arms, drinking milk while watching Barney.

Kurt: mama, no more dede, enough. (giving the empty bottle to me, he says enough meaning he will no longer ask for more. this is what i say when i don't want him to drink more milk)

Me: ok

Kurt: mama, dede? (pointing on my breast)

Me: ah..ye..ee..sss?(surprised with the question, caught off guard)

Kurt: See? (asking permission as he was trying to peep through my shirt and I am so stunned to do something about it)

Kurt: Mama, no more? (kurt trying to ask if my breast has no more milk)

Me: ah..ye..ee..ssss... no more. (isang tanong isang sagot lang ako sa sobrang shock sa pangyayari)

Me again: You know what, you used to drink milk from mama when you were a baby.

Kurt: hehehehe (laughing, i don't know if because of disbelief or because he's insulted or if he just simply finds what I said funny)

After a few minutes, he moved his head to my tummy, he's head on top of my tummy while watching Barney.

Kurt: Mama, baby? (while he's lying side view, his head on my tummy, him facing against me)

Me: Ha? (not really sure if I'm hearing it right, so this reaction. You see, I am intently watching Barney)

Kurt: Mama, baby? (repeating his question)

Well, I was not able to react. Not very good reaction. I just kept quiet, totally ga-ga with all that happened. I am not expecting these type of questions this early. I am not prepared. Not yet! not now! Kurt should not be asking these questions yet! or he really should be? Thoughts running through my mind, like how was he able to think of these? thinking of instances when I mentioned breastmilk to him and baby on tummy, but I cannot think of any recent talks with him about this. Oh my! I better be ready next time for encounters like these. I have to give intelligent answers to his questions. He's starting to become curious na. I am not ready! waaahhh....

I know I have to blog this, I am creating this post on my mind while I was trying to make him go to sleep. I am thinking of a scrapbook layout for this moment. As I will definitely create an LO for this. I want him to read what happened this night, when he grows up.

Tsk..tsk...tsk... kids...

The Beyonce Experience

Whew! hubby and I just got back from the Beyonce Experience Live concert in The Fort. And what can I say? GALING!!! as in! super! never thought that it'll be that good to watch Beyonce live, I am not really a fan you know.

So how did we get to watch it? well, everyday, we passed by the concert site everytime we go to work and hubby and I have talked about it that we'll go there to listen lang. We'll just park our car there, then just listen. That's our original intention. Things today changed when people in the office started talking about it during lunch. So, been telling them that we have no intention of watching since its expensive. Then learned that one of my officemates got free tickets from his brother working in Globe and wala pa syang maaya. So, when we returned from lunch, I am trying to convince him to just give the tickets to me. Well, he did not give the tickets, BUT! he asked his brother if he still have 2 more tickets. And whoa! meron pa. So that's the story on how we got to watch it. And take note, we got Patron B tickets!

We're already in the Fort area by 5:30, stayed for a while in Bonifacio High Street, ate donuts from Krispy Kreme. Bryan and I then went inside na, to kill time, we fall on line the Globe booth to get the charm bracelet, and we were to able to complete the charms naman.

Beyonce started at almost 8:30pm just a few minutes after hubby arrived. She is sooo good, as in good showmanship, good dancing, good stage direction, good costumes, definitely good show, all girls band, he only involved 3 men, and they are dancers. And, she's so hot and sexy! hubby can't take his eyes off! LOL! the three male dancers are hot too! LOL! not my type though.

She sang her songs and Destiny's child's music. Definitely galing! galing talaga! Last song: "to the left, to the left..." It ended at past 10 am but we got home almost 12 midnight na due to difficulty in leaving the makeshift parking area.

My very first...too

This is the very first time that I have received a treat. Thanks Tet you made me smile!

“Don’t just choose your friends making this cliquish and ‘just groupies’…Make NEW friends by choosing random visitors!!!.”

Hmm.. dunno where to pass?!

I journal because..

Kurt really grew a lot when he turned three. I noticed a lot of changes and been wanting to blog it but I cannot do so as I always forget to do it. On the day that he turned three, I heard him say "Barney" instead of his usual "Bay-yee". He also has a concept now of cause and effect. We can also more easily explain things to him. Its sad that I can't think of specific examples now, blame it on my epidural. What I can remember, the happenings of tonight.

I was in the bathroom, cleaning myself before I go to bed, when he excited called on me telling me to hurry up and see the tv. His actual words: "Mama, bilis! galing BJ! bilis" uttered really excitedly. When we're already down the bed, i was about to hug him when he said: "No touch mama! kurt back up! no touch! water here with fish" referring to his blanket and pointing to me where the water and fish are, then some parts of the blanket became ulam, rice, baon and fish.

I am just glad though that until now, he still requests for my hug. He won't go to sleep when we're together in bed unless I hug him, unless we cuddled first, with matching lots of kisses on the lips.

These are the reasons why I journal, on why I keep this blog. I don't want to forget. It's actually also the same reason why I scrapbook but since I cannot easily just create a layout when I have these ideas, this blog serves as my journal.

4-day vacation in Batangas

Tuesday, Oct. 30 - I was really so busy already start of the day pa lang (mostly personal stuff kaya PL the whole morning). Paid my two credit cards then went to Landmark to buy Kurt's diapers (which can only be bought in Landmark). Had lunch with hubby (in Saisaki) then dropped by SM to buy Kurt's pajamas. I went home from work after lunch to check on kurt's coughing. After which prepared already for our trip home to Batangas later. At around 8:30pm, we left home and went straight to SM Supercenter in Pasig. It was just me, Kurt and Yang. We bought groceries that we'll bring home to Batangas then stayed for a while in Go Nuts Donuts, killing time while eating doughnuts and coffee. At 10pm, we went our way na to International airport to meet up with my siblings and Francis to pick up inay and tatay who's plane is expected to arrive at 10:40 that night from NJ-Chicago-Japan.

We arrived in parking B at 10:40 and according to kuya, per tv monitor, plane is expected to arrive at 10:50pm. Waited few more minutes then hubby arrived followed by ate gem and family. Kurt had too much sugar na buhay na buhay pa kahit late na. Playing paper airplane with his cousins. Plane arrived as scheduled then we waited for another 30 minutes more before checking on them. Since its not practical for all four cars to pick up on the arrival area, we've decided that the two cars just wait in the nearest gasoline station going to sucat while the crv and innova picks them up. We stayed in Total, waiting for them to arrive. After around 30 minutes, they arrived and syempre, hug-hug and kiss. We said goodbye to hubby as he's not going home to batangas with us yet as he still has work the next day. Inay rode in my car while kuya drove it kasi i'm not confident in driving on wee hours in the morning. While tatay rode the innova with Rani and all the baggage. Ate gem and family on their car.

We arrived in Batangas at past 2am, wednesday, Oct. 31. Had puto and dinuguan for midnight snacks - puto courtesy of ate ireen while the dinuguan was cooked by ate gem. Chika-chika then open ng balikbayan box for pasalubongs. I got a Lauren Style RL perfume and sandals. Hubby got a Polo Black RL perfume while kurt got 2 shirts and 2 pants and of course we have chocolates. Thanks ate! We went to sleep at 4am then woke up at 11am. We had veggies and sinaing na tulingan for lunch then ate gem cooked baked macaroni for merienda. We've decided to go to SM Lipa later that afternoon as inay did not bring any toiletries. So, we girls, with Hannah and Kurt went to Lipa. It was so cold when we got there, gulat ako, tapos raining pa. Bought toiletries and simcard for inay's cellphone. Had nilaga for dinner then everybody's so tired already and went to sleep early. Me, I waited for hubby to arrive from Manila. He left late na kasi he's trying to avoid the traffic. He got there at past 11pm and we all went to sleep na.

Thursday, Nov. 1 - For whatever reason, I've decided to clean my car with matching wax pa, realized that its hard pala. We then prepared food that we'll take in the cemetery. Kuya cooked calderetang kambing, i cooked spaghetti while inay made her undas tradition of sinukmani (rice cake). We left for cemetery before lunch. Kuya has already setup the tent early that morning then he brought table, chairs, banig and tent for kids. Kurt had a lot of fun, enjoy sya kasi he and his girl cousins were watching Dora dvds in Beia and Abie's portable dvd. They're so noisy inside the tent as they are replying to Dora's questions. Grabe! a lot of kids got curious so they're watching from outside the tent. Then when the sun went down, he played frisbee with kuya Janssen then later on with dada. Francis, Patrick and Joshua played chess against ate Swannie's daddy, while I read my scrapbook magazines, and tatay and inay played scrabble.

We stayed there until 7pm while kuya and the guys stayed until later. We had inihaw na baboy and enselada (green mangoes, onion, tomatoes, alamang and wansoy) that I made for dinner. Yummy!

Friday, Nov. 2 - we prepared for a visit to the grave of tatay's siblings and parents and inay's siblings and parents too. Tito Elmo fixed the flowers then after lunch we left already. First stop: the cemeteries in Rosario - we visited tatay's siblings and parents then we went to the old cemetery to visit ate's daughter. We then went straight to Lipa, first to floral garden then Eternal for inay's parents. Last stop is SM to buy dinner for that night. And this is when Hannah and Kurt had the pictures in the previous post taken.

Saturday, Nov. 3 - we had breakfast then prepared for our trip back to Manila. Exciting cause it's my first time to drive back to Manila from the house (as in whole trip, dati kasi I start na sa SLEX). Funny kasi both hubby and I had our cars, Kurt and Yang went with me while tito Elmo, going to Manila too, stayed with hubby.

Car park fun

Below are pictures of Hannah and Kurt enjoying a pint of mango icecream in SM Lipa carpark:
