The car is back!

I forgot to post! my car is back!! got it last tuesday. finally! i was able to get it from honda makati at past 5pm then i went straight home. i actually want to get it earlier so i can still make it to our village clubhouse for the car sticker. unfortunately, they cannot promise releasing it early so i have no choice. i'd rather wait than them sacrifice the quality of their work.

i am so funny because all the time that i'm waiting in honda, i was so nervous. i don't know if i can drive properly and to think it'll be dark already by the time i leave honda. it surprised me though that when i was already inside the car, all the nervousness was gone.

so now, i've got my car back, i don't have to commute anymore if hubby's not available. yipee!!

A fun weekend

It was a great but very tiring weekend. You see, it was only me and Kurt. Hubby was in Anilao for his diving. Well, there were some plans but did not push through. One, we're trying to go with hubby on his dive but since it's a class, fully packed ang resort. Two, we're supposed to go to Batangas friday night, sleep in Lipa then hatid kami ni hubby sa Rosario saturday morning before he goes to Anilao. Unfortunately, that night I've decided not to go to Batangas na kasi based on my communication with Honda Makati, there's a chance that I can get my car that saturday or monday. Me, hoping that I'll get it that saturday decided not to leave manila. I don't want to get the car kasi today as I am on coding. So for the kwento.

Friday night pa lang, I'm preparing kurt na for our activities the next day to get him excited to go to sleep. Told him we'll go to the mall. And, being the layas boy that he is, he's very excited with that concept.

The next day, saturday, pagkagising na pagkagising pa lang, he wanted me na to give him a bath. As in he don't even want to eat breakfast, gusto na nyang umalis! LOL Plano ko pa naman is we'll leave after lunch kaso ayaw na talaga pumayag. Di tuloy kami nakasama sa lunch in Aimee's house. There's really nothing to spoil his spirit, he even agreed to wearing pants, kahit na super ayaw nya. Anything na gawin nyang di ko gusto that morning, panakot ko parati so he'll listen is, hindi na kami aalis (bad mama ba?). So off we go to our adventure. Since I don't have a car, we have to commute, I told him about this last night and excited din sya. We rode the tricycle to Pasig city hall then took the fx going to Robinsons Galleria. The little boy was so behaved and observing/enjoying the entire experience. He keeps on asking where we're going (I guess he's making sure that we're going to the mall! LOL)

We went first to Galleria. Checked out the showing time of Alvin and the Chipmunks then had lunch in KFC per his request. He wanted to go weewee and my mistake was to take him to the restroom near Tom's World as he wouldn't want to leave there. Well at least he's not asking me to buy tokens. He just enjoys trying out all the games even if he's not really playing it. Decided to let him enjoy, its his day anyway.

We left the place when the movie was about to start. Ordered white cheddar cheese popcorn from Taters then watched na the movie. Movies was so funny. I think I enjoyed it more than Kurt. LOL!

We then went to Megamall for more pasyal. Well, he wouldn't let us leave kasi gusto nya bumalik sa Tom's World. We dropped by Podium first to check out Lacoste Accesories store for sale bags pero the little boy won't let me touch anything! Mahigpit pa sa asawa ko! As in! So, I gave up and we went na to Megamall.

In Megamall naman, I checked out again the Lacoste . And for the love of God, the little boy still won't let me touch anything! After few tries to look at the bags I settled for a belt bag. We went around the mall, let kurt watched bowling then went home early evening. Good thing we saw kuya arnold and family, we rode with them back home. I was so tired that night.

Sunday, we went to Trinoma. This time, I let kurt ride the jeepney to crossing then MRT to Trinoma. The little boy had a blast on his first train ride. Enjoy! will post pictures soon. Kwento to be continued...

I miss scrapbooking

Haaay.. I truly miss scrapbooking. It has been ages since I last touched my supplies and I only realize last night when I was about to attempt to scrap that I actually can't scrap anymore (well for now!). One, kurt has taken over the only remaining free space in our bedroom. He decided that he wants to sleep on the floor using a foldable mattress. We're using this mattress before when he was still younger kasi nasisikipan si hubby sa bed namin but when he grew up, he requested that his dada sleep with us sa bed. then just a few weeks ago, i decided to use it kasi nahihirapan na ko matulog opposite them as the little boy is really so likot now. on the first night, i was the one sleeping there but when the little boy found out, inangkin nya BUT gusto nya magkatabi kami. eh super small kaya ang bed na yon! so when he's sleeping na, i just transfer to our bed. such a bliss to have a big space! disadvantage nga lang, wala na ko space to set up my foldable table. and to think i can only scrap when the little boy is sleeping so i really have no other option.

Now my dilemma, will i just pack all my scrap things and bring it home to batangas again for storage (to save space in our kakarampot na space)? or, will i just sell everything away? practicality wise, my mind is telling me to just sell everything. but my heart is telling me that i can still use it once we have our own house na (which earliest can be next year). i already invested a lot for my tools. some of them, i bought pa when i was in the us pero naluluma na papers ko since i don't use them though actually i don't mind using old papers kasi i don't do trendy layouts din naman. iniisip ko rin kasi kaya i want to sell, i can still continue scrapping naman pero digital nga lang. which is what i did when i brought home all my scrapbooking supplies to batangas before. i even have them printed pa. i really don't know what to decide. help!

second reason pa, i am busy studying right now for a certification that i am contemplating to take on june. this is a serious thing like the CPA exams before so i really have to concentrate pero iniisip ko, scrapbooking is my therapy sana, wala nga lang space. ano nga ba?

third, we really need the space that i'll free up once i removed all my scrapbooking supplies.

haaayyy...

About mobile blogging

See this post here? I attempted to do this for like five times! Well, it's my first time to use my cellphone for blogging. Medyo hirap pa ko to post after creating the entries. For whatever reason, nawawala sya while I try to put the cursor in publish post button. Oh well! in time I will learn and in time I will enjoy this more. At least now, I can read blogs using my phone, just need to practice actually writing one!

Mobile blogging

just trying this cool feature of my phone.

8 things I am grateful for

I was tagged by Em. Pretty difficult tag so let me see what I can come up of.

1. I am grateful that I stayed on my job. Well, my company is the usual "first job" of most CPAs. A lot join here for the training, for the exposure and only a few decides to continue for varied reasons like, overwork-underpaid, better opportunity, etc. I never thought too that I will stay here for long as I told myself before that i'll stay here only for 2 years. But God planned it differently, I am now working here for 10 years! been to three groups and I am DEFINITELY loving it. Why? pay gets better as you stay longer. A lot of opportunity. A lot of experience. Huge growth. Flexible hours.

2. I am grateful for my current boss (our wedding ninang). Well, related to my first item, i think I would have not stayed here for so long if not for my very good bosses since I started working here. Most especially my current boss. Yes, she's strict when it comes to work. But she's also a mom who understands. Hay, she's full of heart that's why I guess working here is not that hard.

3. I am grateful for my husband. I sometimes find fault in him, in our relationship and sometimes in our life BUT he's still there. He has some faults but I do too. And he's still there for me. I am also grateful for him letting me do things that I want, buy things that I want.

4. I am grateful for my son for a lot of things. One, for constantly teaching me about patience (truly a test of patience!), two - for teaching me to appreciate simple things, three - for teaching me to be selfless (though there are still times when i tend to be selfish), four - for his unconditional love. His hug and kisses are the best thing in the world and I feel so secure with his love whenever he hugs and kisses me. Iba talaga ang innocent love!!, five - for our rollercoaster life because of him - his moodswings, his laughter, his tantrums, his everything.

5. I am grateful for the places that I've been to. I am such a lakwatsera (may nunal sa talampakan pati asawa ko) kaya I am so happy whenever we travel, mapa-out of the country, road trip or whatever. My two US trips that took me couple of times to: NY, NJ, Philly, San Francisco, Austin,Texas, LA, Washington DC, Napa, other parts of Northern California, my numerous trips to Singapore and my Hongkong visit. Our local trips to: Boracay, Bohol, Davao, CDO, Camiguin, Cebu, Bacolod, Guimaras, Iloilo, Bukidnon, most of northern Luzon (baguio, sagada, banaue, pagudpod, vigan, lauag, la union, abra, pangasinan, zambales, Cagayan Valley Region, Isabela)and syempre southern Luzon. I'm still looking forward to the following planned trips: Hubby and I's Singapore this February, our office outing in Boracay, the planned entire family vacation in Palawan next summer. I dream of going to: Las VEgas, DisneyWorld for kurt, Grand Canyon, Chicago. I want to finally experience the snow!! I also want to go to Europe. Haay..

6. I am grateful to both sides of the family. My side - for always being there whenever I need them. For the kwentuhan, the videoke nights, the monthly kita-kita in Batangas, for being my guinea pigs for recipes that I want to try. Hubby's side -for wholeheartedly accepting me on their side of the family. I don't feel an "in law" at all.

7. I am grateful of the Man Up There. For everything. For everything I am grateful of, I owe it all to him. I have my shortcomings, I am not always a good daughter but He loves me still.

8. And last, thanks to Em. Thanks for this. I really thought that this is a hard topic but I realized that once you start it, you have a lot of things to be thankful of and eight is not enough. Thank you Em for making me see how wonderful my life is. For making me realize that I have a lot of things to be thankful of. I want to add more! Probably, I can do scrapbook layout where I can list all the things that I am thankful of.

I am tagging anybody who reads this and wants to realize how great their life is!

Treasured possesion

If you will recall, I posted here my dilemma about me being tempted to get a new phone. Well, guess what?! I finally bought it!!

Here it is!

Please excuse the quality of photo as this was taken using my old camera phone. LOL!

So? how does it feel. Really really good!! I super love my new phone. I guess the only downside that I see on this phone is that I am so used to using flipphone na it's very easy to text. The first time I used this, nangalay kamay ko since the keypads are only 1/3 of the phone but now, I'm getting used to it and really loving it. It can take really really good photos. I can't post it yet though as I don't have my LAN cable (naks!) with me and I can't seem to make the bluetooth of my laptop work.

Awards

Thanks Quel for the awards!

Hmmm... I dunno where to pass this as parang lahat ng blogs that I visited has this na. So, if you're reading this and you don't have this. This is for you!

On Hongkong

I've been to Hongkong once. I had that trip late last year. It was an official trip with my officemates for a SOX training. We extended our stay until saturday to have the chance to go around. We went to Victoria's Peak and our next itinerary is supposed to be shopping. However, since all of us four are first timers in HK, we were not able to enjoy shopping. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed each others company. Our bloopers, we have a lot of that! So, why all of a sudden I'm posting this?! Well, because I read about a HK trip here.

Paid blogging

I have been for so long seeing the posts that my favorite bloggers have been doing regarding paid blogging. I sometimes end up reading even that because they have a way of making paid blogging interesting. Now, I think I want to join the bandwagon. I am so enticed with this. I love blogging so I decided to give it a try. So, what a first timer should do? research of course! and that is when I came across blogvertise.com. I heard from some of my favorite bloggers that this is the right place to go to start paid blogging. So paid blogging here I come!!

My 2008 as an Acquarius

Saw this in Chelle's blog so I got curious.

Aquarius horoscope 2008 brings forth the positive changes in the career field for Aquarians. New avenues and opportunities would grow in the year ahead that would also bring much success. Travel is on the cards for Aquarius people according to the horoscope. The year 2008 would surely give you many travel stories to add to your travel journal. The professional front can witness a positive change for the people born under Aquarius zodiac sign. The stars talk of either a complete change of career course or even the job. The Aquarius horoscope 2008 calls for expansion in the career field till November 2008.
However the lack of flexibility can result in some losses in business. Apart from these minor losses, the year 2008 talks of only financial gains.

Unfortunately the Aquarius horoscope 2008 also talks of problems in marital relationships. These problems would be more pronounced in the month of July. After this there is a scope for betterment in love relationships, as the blocks or hurdles will get removed. A silent feeling of resentment may remain in the relationship, which should be guarded against.

Try to avoid any major controversies in the love relationships. Though Aquarius people who are single and not in a relationship may expect to meet someone interesting in the year 2008. The horoscope also talks of Aquarius people setting high goals for themselves and also working towards completing them. It further advises people born under this sign to not to give undue importance to frustrations and small failures in life.

Whew!! I like the first part, so happy about the travel thing and possitive professional change. Got scared lang sa second part about problems in marital relationship. I guess it least I was warned, to avoid any major controversies. Gosh! God bless us.

Bank acquired assets for sale

My brother works in a rural bank in Batangas and they have a lot of repossesed properties, mostly in Batangas but there are a few in Rizal, Cavite, Mindoro, Bulacan and Marikina. Of course these properties are cheaper as the bank really want to dispose them so they can convert it to cash that they can use. So, if you're interested, let me know so I can send you the list. In the past, there were really good properties sold such as overlooking lot in Nasugbu, Batangas. Type of properties are: house and lot, residential lots, agricultural lot.

My car repair

Yipee!!! finally got all the necessary papers from my insurance. Now the ball is in Honda Makati's hands. They can now start with all the ordering and repairs. I just can't wait to finally have my car back.

Missing my car

It's been one full week without my car, and I am terribly missing it. I actually miss my independence. You see, I brought my car monday last week (Jan 7) to Honda Makati to repair my car's "kiss marks" LOL

When I went there and assessed my car's "kiss marks" and compared against my LOA (letter of authority from Insurance), they've concluded that it will need more repair than what was assessed by the insurance, so another approval process na naman. If it will be done fast, it will then take 2-3 days to order the parts then 3-4 days to repair the car, so if Philam approved the change on a tuesday, they can order the parts on that day, parts to arrive on friday-saturday then actual work to start monday and I'll get back my car by thursday to friday. HOWEVER, for some reason, my very good insurance STILL hasn't approved the request as of the moment. THEY are claiming that they have not received the faxed request that according to Honda people was sent wednesday last week.

Well, I don't know who's telling the truth but I too had the experience of sending my second affidavit for another accident 3x to Philam since "apparently" they are not receiving my fax. Oh well. As it turned out now, Honda received already my second LOA for the other "kiss marks", nauna pa tuloy dun sa naunang request. I will definitely be calling them back again tomorrow morning to expedite the process. I terribly miss my independence now. I want it back.

Lesson learned on this experience: BE MORE CAREFUL IN DRIVING AND PARKING. It is such a big hassle in dealing with the insurance. I am actually contemplating on changing insurance provider if that is possible, I'm thinking of getting Honda's inhouse insurance so no more hassle in approval process.

Time to change mobile phones?

Haaay... I fell in love late last month with this phone, Nokia N82. You see, I still have the old Nokia 6260. During that time, the in thing was the flip phones, actually medyo late na rin ako when I bought that but I love that phone. I never envied those who had newer model phones after that, wala akong pakialam sa new models that are 3G kasi for me, my phone still does its job, which for me are: for SMS, calls and take pictures. But then for some time na, nagloloko ang phone ko, as in it hangs up when I do SMS, when i use it to call the other line can't hear me so I've been thinking if it is the time to change phones. Ako na rin lang yata ang taong natitira with this phone but I dont mind, I'm actually happy kasi mine was matibay. My sister's, SIL's, nephew's 6260 all got busted and cannot be repaired anymore. So proud ako that mine's still working. So, sabi ko since I'll be replacing din, might as well look for a phone with these features which are important to me:
1. Basic call and text
2. Great for taking pictures (this is logical as a cameraphone can mostly likely capture moments kasi I always take it with me except when home)
3. Wifi functionality (I love to blog and browse other people's blog and given that there are a lot of free wifi spots now, this is a great functionality too)
and 4th, but not really a priority as this is provider specific, MobileTV capable.

I searched and searched the web for this. Basta best if I can have four features, better if i can have the first three and good enough if only the two. I was about to settle with SEK510i (which is good for the first 2 features) when I came across N82 and I know, this is the phone for me. Big factor talaga sa kin ang camera and this has wifi pa so really great. The 4th, I can live without it as I am also a Globe subscriber.

I am so tempted to buy na as this is available for installment in Avant, Greenbelt but I've decided to wait until the price goes down, anyway it was just released last November. BUT today, I passed by Avant again and saw the phone, haaay.... then came across pa these reviews from Juicelog and Symbian-freak. Now I don't know what to do.

Blog under review

Finally!!! I have my blog back. I posted in my other blog yesterday that I cannot post on this blog as this is under review. I actually saw that notification last week pa pero I thought it's something that will just go away on its own, I only realized yesterday that I need pala to react or do something and if I don't they will delete my account! Gosh!! major panic ako, worried about all my posts that will get lost. Now, I am so glad to have it back. I really just don't know why they thought my blog is a spam blog.

Welcome 2008

Hello! anybody awake? how's the fireworks last night?

kami, ayun, nagtatago sa room sa attic. the little boy was so scared to go out of the rooftop to join everybody in watching the fireworks display. good thing i watched na before i brought him upstairs. he was actually sleeping kaso kawawa naman that as we welcome the new year eh mag-isa lang sya sa baba while all of us are in the rooftop. he really cried hard, nung una ni ayaw nyang lumabas ng room sa attic but later on, he agreed that we stayed near the door so we can watch some of the fireworks. we really had a good view up there, some nga nakakatakot kasi ang lapit lang sa min that they sometimes go inside to hide.

the boys first lighted up the "pla-pla" downstairs, in front of the vacant lot near the house, while the rest of fireworks/crackers were lit up in the rooftop. ni hindi man lang kami nakahawak ng "lusis" LOL

we went down again to light this time the "sawa". they bought two sets, one 1000 and another 3600 version. after it quieted, we had the media noche. really simple food as we only ate toasted bread, excelente ham, queso de bola, california maki and fruit salad with hot chocolate. we ate too much na nung dinner eh from the pamamanhikan. there are wines/champagne kaya lang parang di bagay sa hot chocolate. LOL

we went to sleep almost 3am na but still managed to wake up by 9am. now, the boys are lighting up some of the remaining firecrackers and Istong is cleaning up the cars, *wishing* na kasama ang kotse ko sa lilinisin.

so, here's my first post for 2008!
